Musical Foundations Programme
Musical Foundations is a structured introductory programme for beginner students. It is ideal for children who are new to violin and wish to develop a strong musical foundation without immediate exam commitments.

Students are guided through a clear learning progression, ensuring steady development, musical understanding, and readiness for more advanced study.
Curriculum

Playing Foundations
Good posture, healthy practise habits, and learning how to care for the violin.

Musical Building Blocks
Foundational music theory and notation, alongside rhythm, ear training, and pitch recognition.

Listening & Discovery
Developing aural skills through listening activities and an introduction to music history.
Lesson Duration Options
30 or 45 minute lessons, recommended based on age, level and goals.
Individual Guidance
An engaging introduction to music through listening, body movement, rhythm and melody training, and age appropriate music history.
Flexible Learning
Rescheduling is available with a minimum of 2 hours notice.
Musical Confidence
Helping beginners progress from their first musical steps to playing the violin confidently through guided exploration.
